blown output stage.. probably short circuit causing the protection circuit to power cycle.. not repairable except by a professional electronics person.

how do I know if it will be worth it? You don't say what it is, just what it isn't doing.

same for speakers.. no power rating or db/w rating.. so like.. eh? .. no suggestions possible.

yes what kind of amp is it? for door speakers, which don't really require much power as compared to subwoofers, I really like the 4 channel sony amplifiers. alpine makes decent ones as well. don't buy rockford fosgate. they are good but WAY overpriced because of the name brand.

I don't see a kac-8103 two channel amp, but there is a kac-8103D mono amp...is that what you have? If you have shorted it out, it would probably be best to just get a new one...kenwood doesn't make the best amps anyways.

I have an alpine mono sub amp that powers my 12" JL Audio sub and I've been very happy with the sound quality. the most important thing is matching the RMS wattage with the amp and sub. you don't want an amp that isn't powerful enough but at the same time you don't want one that has a much higher RMS output than what your sub can handle
