Hi, I hope this is the appropriate forum. I moved to my new apartment today, and my friend who was helping me managed to destroy the subwoofer from one of my boxes. The elements sadly aren't under a netting and are totally black. The 'woofer is torn, so I have to replace it right? I don't really know that much about audio equipment, but I think if you guys could help me pick a new one, I'm able to replace it. My dad built these in the 70's with some audiophile friend of his, and I was wondering what I could do in order to keep the original look. They're 9 inch subwoofwers, no idea about the make or model, sadly all of my stuff is in the van, so I can't find my camera. The boxes are glued, so I'll have to saw them open and hopefully there are some markings in there. Does it matter if the new sub is a bit different in terms of wattage etc? How could I be sure that the new on is as close as bossible to the old one specs-wise? So, relatively new, all-black 9-inch subwoofers, where can a student in europe get one for a reasonable price? Thank you in advance.
