av just got a new dbox and av got loads of channels ... the thing is there all keylocked ..how do i sort out this or put a new keycode in.. am in gloucester and with virgin media .... wud luv it if ya cud help me .....jukzy

You need to FTP the Latest Rom 7 fix to var/keys folder it will then update ......................Paul

You connect your D box to pc via a crossover
And ftp the roms across
Bringing your box back to life ..............Paul

hi to all hope someone can help me i have nokia dbox 2x ever time i go on to the free channals and go back to a film it will not show anything but when i go into the emu mene and mess with the red green yellow it all comes back on then when i go to the free channals its all gone again i have the image linsat beta 7.25 full on it please help thanks so much

hi
was wondering if someone can help if ive connected up to the dbox correctly.
im using the image falsh assisstant ( hallenberg one). i have selected the image (latest commando 11) but
i have 2 items to select in the network connection.these are
a "intel pro /wireless 3945ABG network connection "and a "realtek RTL8101 family pci- e fast ethernet NIC" . i am assuming it is the first one.
i have connected the dbox 2 with a crossover cable too to my laptop.
the program doesnt work when i select the realtek but with the wirless network connection the progress box appears
but when i power up the box nothing happens.i keep plugging in and out and still nothing.
am i doing something wrong or connected it worngly.
any help wuld be good . thanks

Disable the wireless and go direct
Set your pc nic to 10 and 1 half duplex
Auto if on vista
Also IFA 3.1 will work for Vista .................Paul

Make sure its IFA 3.1
Set your pc nic to Auto
On your network card right click
Properties
Configure
Advanced
Flow controll set this to
Connection type = Auto
And flow controll =Enabled
Try that now and lets know

hi
managed to disbale the wirlele and enable the flow control of the nic, but im using the ifa 3.3. does it have to be the 3.1 if so wher do i get it from. can i still use the cross over cable or an ethernet??
sorry to be a pain.

3.1 and above should work mate
Trial and error
Make sure you are useing a crossover cable direct from D box to Laptop
Why are you useing IFA
Cant you FTP to the box
You dont say in the Post

hi
i have used the flash xp method to hook the box up to my laptop and revise the keys but i havent tried doing it with a new image.
the problem i got is the there might something wrong with Mums dbox 2 as it freezes on load up and wanna check if i can do the ifa way as it does it on boot up. i cant get into the box to check or read the network settings or ip settings so im trying it this way to see if i can resolve it.
ok - ive done everyhting you said in the ifa way and with vista. ill keep trying or otherwise the box might be buggered.

hi
one last thing i might not be doing right is that
i have set the flow control to enabled but the how do i set the flow control connection type to auto? ive gone into advanced and there doesnt seem to be any thing of coonection type on the list?

the only thing i got on the scroll that has an auto option is "speed and duplex".. auto negotitiation is selected.

how do i flash through thre wireless router??
can i connect the dbox to the router and with the crossover cable and then select the wirless router network in the ifa.
or do i need another type of cable

hi all
i think im getting there.
firts thing i cant get the program to respond to the ethernet port of my laptop as im using vista.
i took pauls advice and connected the dbox to the router with the crossover cable and then selected the wireless connection on the ifa.
i did not slect the null modem at all.
i hit strt then the box started and then froze. the green progress bar started and then it seemed to freeze on the ifa for a very long time (10mins plus) and then repeated it agin and the same.
at least i have got the box to talk to my laptop which is beter than yeaterday..
any further advice would be great as i seem to be making progress.
by the way i selected a static ip address too and connected the null modem as well and still it doesnt seem to get past the same progress.

think you are getting all confused here, this is how you flash using IFA
Do this on the laptop/desktop
set the static TCP/IP of the wired connection (you can not use wireless) to 192.168.1.10 subnet can be 255.255.0.0 leave gateway and rest blank
next disable any firewall/anti virus programs on the laptop/desktop
connect the cross over cable from latop/desktop to dbox
run IFA on desktop/laptop and select image and network card as the non wireless one
message will pop up saying once you click OK start up dbox at this stage plug the power in the dbox and click OK and it should start to flash as on the LCD on the DBox you will see IFA on it

Hi Guys;
Does anyone know where I can download a suitable Image, Serive and bouquets for Cambridge.
I have nokia DBox2 and looking for 2x image but more importantly for serice and bouquets which is suitable for cambridge.
Any help is appreciated
