Converting mp4 videos to DVD

My wife and I have been trying to convert mp4 videos from a flip video camera into a DVD I have successfully converted into a DVD format problem is when we burn we cannot play back in any of our DVD players including the PS2 She has used Winn ff and windows live movie maker. what our we missing.
The flip tool bar " make a DVD " puts the videos into folder on the desktop then a pop up says now import into your DVD burning software. Is there a better software program.

Try DVD Flick to Convert the Files and Then Burn to Disc With Imgburn.

Both Programs Are Freeware and Can Be Downloaded From the Software Downloads Section at the Top of the Page.
