I have searched for information concerning the issue I'm having everywhere I can think of, including through this forum. I hope someone can help with my specific problem.
Here goes. I recently bought a new HD. After I had re-installed all my software, including DVDShrink, ImgBurn, and AnyDVD (the three main ripping/burning programs I use for DVDs), I notice that I no longer get the same read speed out of my Lite-On BD-ROMcombo drive, nor my HPDVD combo drive. Previously, I was getting read speed of well over x10 on most discs. Now I'm limited to x5.1 or x5.2 speeds when ripping a DVD using AnyDVD and ImgBurn. Can someone please help? I have exhausted every option I know of for finding a solution. If I have posted this in the wrong place, please let me know and I will move it. Thanks in advance for any help offered!!!
Hm, it is either that your new HDD is slower than your old one -- if you're using the new HDD as your target drive, where you rip your DVD to.. You can check/change your drive's DMA/PIO settings easily, here's a quick guide:
