i dont know if this issue has been addressed.

im having a lot of difficulty trying to make a backup of one of my kids movies. i got sick of having to replace discs that my ratbags were destroying. i have not had any issues backing up, up untill now.

i have the movie hercules. i keep getting the error, i/o error at approx 50% no matter what program i tried to use. then i found out that its because it is a dual layered disc.

i went and bought a dual layer dvd burner. however no matter what program i use it gets stuck when trying to resolve the layer change. its absolutly driving me crazy.

i have not even been able to get to the burning onto a disc as i cannot even make a backup.

if anyone knows what it might be help would be greatly appreciated.

What Media Are You Using?
Can you Rip Just the Movie and Put it On a Single Layer Disc?

Can You Post A Burn Log?

yeah ive tried using dvd fab 5, dvd decrypter, dvd shrink, anydvd cloner, and imgburn, clone dvd 2, dvd smith, 1click dvd copy5 daniusoft dvd ripper.
none of them work (obviously i dont own all of them but i know people who own various ones and i have access to them all)
ive tried using the ones that are recomended but to no avail. i dont know if its just the disc. im trying to track down some other dual layer discs to test so i know what the issue is my pc or the disc.
at the moment i dont know if its a setting or what. but it just doesnt resolve the layer change.

no i cant rip just the movie or anything on the second layer. anything on the first half of the disc can be done no worries. second half just cant touch it.
