DVD Ripping, drives stop reading at various points

I have been using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink for quite some time now on Win7 64bit but lately the DVD players will stop reading any disc at various points. It usually gives an error pointing that the drive stopped responding. If I play the disc everything is fine but as soon as I try to rip it the software stops and gives and error that the drive isn't responding. I have tried both drives, one is a ASUS DVD burner and the other is a Pioneer BD reader/dvd burner but it happens almost the same time with each disc. This doesn't matter if its new or slightly scratched. Any ideas on what I need to do here?

Oh side note, I have XP Pro partition that I used to use as my main OS and have the same programs on there too but getting the same results.

If these are newer DVDs you are trying to rip then it could be that you are esperiencing issues as a result of copy protection the software cannot handle.

Have you tried using the latest version of DVDFab HD Decrypter?
