I am trying to get some help with a Power Iso problem. I had two DVDs I had compressed with Power ISO to save space on my computer. I had successfully used these files to burn DVDs in the past. I recently had to reformat my hard drive, and install all programs again, and when I did, I noticed the Power Iso files had turned into WinRar files. The file extension still says: .iso, but when I load the files into Power Iso, it shows the file to be WinRar. I've tried burning them to DVD, but when I try to play the DVD, what appears on the screen is a box that says: ROOT.
Does anyone know what might have happened to these files, and if there's anything I can try to make them usable again (to burn DVDs)? This was a dance recital I did, and I desperately need them to make copies. Please help if you can! :)
An update: I successfully MOUNTED the file, and it plays in the computer, but still, when I try to burn, I get nothing but root folders on the screen. After mounting, I noticed that what I'm seeing are the TS files... all the video files. How can I burn these to a DVD. Please help!
Are the files in ISO format? If so, use IMGBURN to burn them
(write image file to disk)
All you're seeing is a change of association. The program that is the default
for the file type. The files have not changed and it's usually simple to
change them back if you need to.
