Ripping TV Show DVD Question

Can someone tell me the best way to rip a TV Show DVD.

I am trying to rip the first season of Scrubs to watch it on my iPhone at work but the chapters on the disc aren't exact episodes, for instance chapter one will show three quarters of the first episode, chapter 2 shows the end of episode one and half of episode 2 etc.

I have Nero and Xillisoft video convertor installed, I have tried as much as I can without help from you guys and gals.

One way:after ripping the disk to a folder on the HDD using the likes of DVDFab HD Decrypter to remove any protection, open that folder in DVD Shrink and click the 'Re-author' button.
Each episode should be listed (in the example shown they are all ~23 minutes).
Drag one episode from right to left and click 'Backup' to save to a new folder.
Remove the first and drag over the next Title and backup.
Now you have them as individual titles in their own folders you can convert them as required.
