GameCube Power Button Issues

My GameCube's power button seems to be broken, as it won't stay down to fully boot the system. That means I need someone to hold down the button to keep it on, when we should be playing multiplayer! Please help! Can I just trade in for a different GameCube, or is there another solution? Thanks for your help.

Gamecubes aren't all that expensive anymore so you should just go and buy one.
