I have had this chip installed for a long time. I have never been able to play a backup of a dual layer disc. I have a v15 with the above mentioned Chipmod Pro + installed. The chip plays original PS2 DL disks no problem. It plays dvd5 backups no problem. I have tried the toxic patch but still no go. It won't even boot the disk. I can hear the laser moving back and forth trying to read the disk. The features of the chip have dual layer support listed and the configuration menu has a DL disable option. Yes it is enabled. Any help would be great thanks. I am wondering if there is a certian wire that controls the dual layer boot on the modchip.
