I have a brand new SCPH-90001 purchased a few days ago and am using a fresh copy of Swap Magic 3.6. Games boot and play just fine, but occasionally the disc just stops spinning while playing. The game will continue to play, but when it needs to actually pull something off the disc, the screen stays black (like it's fading out to load a loading screen) and the disc never spins back up.
I'm not sure if it's only certain games, or what, but it has only happened while playing two different Beatmania IIDX games. I haven't noticed it with anything else, but I haven't spent much time with it yet, as I just got the discs in the mail today.
Just wondering if this is a known issue with Swap Magic or my model of PS2.
Not that it matters to anyone, but the issue turned out to be the front switch near the power button was sometimes popping up, causing the PS2 to know the tray was open. Easy fix.
