DMS4 SE PRO PS1 Boot Problems Help!

As the subject states, I have a DMS4 SE PRO installed onto a V6

and I really could use some professional help on this matter. :-)

first let me answer some questions so you don't ask those question's

The drive works perfectly it plays both PS one and PS2 title original

it will play PS2 title with the mod chip activated whether it is a backup copy or original
of course I do not use it except for PS one
since I use a hard drive and have all of my game installed on the hard drive.

My problem is getting PS one backup title to play

it will not even play original PS one title unless I deactivate the mod chip first once deactivated it will play original PS one title with no problem.
But the moment that I reactivate the mod chip it will not load, it will try to load -- and all that I will get is a black screen

I am using toxic OS obviously :-)

I sure the problem must lie in the soldering.
I have looked at the X solder point and it appears to be good! it feels smug when I tug on it!

Anyway I hope someone here has had this problem before and knows what the problem is and what to do to rectify it!
too bad that PS one title will not play on a hard drive!!

well i hate to tell you.
i have the same chip dms se pro 4

and i have not found an answer yet on how to get it to work,,
for psx backups it is your x wire. but i think it might be more then that.

i had one backup load fully once,
and now it does not load.
i have rechecked my solder joints, they appear all good as well as test out.

mine is a version 7 ps2.
i have read somewhere that the version 7 has a very touchy laser.

I am not sure about version 6.

i am going to try a few different medias.
if that does not solve it,
I think im going to get a different chip.

It just irritates me that Toxicos is for dms4(pro,se)
it is a pretty nice app.

Oh if your just getting a black screen definitely check your x-wire.

mine will play ps1 originals,with the modchip on.
just not my backups.
