I've looked a few places online and haven't been able to find out which of the pins on the duo 3 is for the ps1 for some reason everything works fine except when I try to play ps1 games. The guy who modded it said I may have burnt off the pad when I was attempting it, was going to look for an alternate solder point.

Thanks for the info. I was really looking for like which pins would cause my ps1 backups not to be read correctly. All I want to do is play FF7 and I don't want to play 60$ for a copy online :(

How did you backup and burn FF7

What media (disc and brand), burn speed, program used?

I used memorex and burned at the lowest speed that my burner supports which is 8x using imgburn from an iso that I obtained.

Ok well memorex is really crap media as far as I am concerned.

Some use it fine on the latest ps2 or others and say it works fine.

I would try Verbatim or Sony CD-R and burn it at 16x for CD games or the next speed your burner supports.

Best too use Alcohol 120 on PS1 games and choose the Playstation Datatype.
