Yeah, hi! Okay, so after buying the only copy of Ape Escape 2 at Gamestop and learning that it won't read past the first level, I've decided to stop taking it from Gamestop and their awful condition games and just start playing backups. But, y'know, I'm a moron, so I've gotta ask some questions.
1) My PS2 Slim is model 90001- can I still use Swap Magic?
2) What EXACTLY do I do to play a backup? I've seen the thing about blocking the sensors and I know about Swap Magic, but that's where my knowledge ends. Do I need some specific files or what?
3) Outside of some disks, Swap Magic, and a PS2, what do I need?
I believe that model is compatable with free mcboot. Take a look at the guides over at sksapps.com if you need any more info...they also have most of the apps you will need. You will need a swapmagic, ARMAX, USBExtreme, or some other boot disk that can run ELF files, or copy DVDs (guides for most of the disks are at sksapps). Once free mcboot is installed, you will not need this disk anymore...so you might try to borrow the disk from a friend rather than buying it just to use once.
