Mars pro NTSC problem

Hello,

I bought PS2 slim with Mars pro chip installed.
All NTSC games are in black/white. I have another PS2 slim with Matrix infinity chip and in that one all NTSC games play in color.
TV set is same, all cables are same, all options are same.
Only PAL games are in color on that PS2 with Mars pro.
I read that all mod chips should read both PAL and NTSC games fine.

The only thing I can think of if it was installed properly is that it might be fake
