Hey guys. I have the big old PS2 SCPH 50001. I took apart the console to replace the cd tray because it was broken. The PS2 has the Toxic chip or something on it (bought this from a friend), and when I put everything back together, the Toxic logo was gone when I put in a imported game and it wouldn't play it. The screen would go to the red clouds "Please insert a PS or PS2 game disc". Do I need to reboot the modchip to re-enable it? I didn't touch the mod chip in anyway so I don't think it would be a hardware problem. Thanks for your help!
