Modbo 4 wont load discs

I just installed a modbo 4 chip, when I put my disc in then it boots to the "explorer" and it shows my memory card and the disc i put in, if i go over to the disc and press "x" then the screen goes black for a few seconds (like it is going to load) and then goes right back to the explorer. It does this for PS2 games (real ones, that are the right region), DVDs, and ps1 games. It does play CDs properly. Thats it, we don't know what to do...
