I am wondering if there is a way to mod my ps2 slim without using the whole tape and tissue paper thing and swapping out discs to play games is there a way? if so a clear explanation would help. THX

Tape & tissue??? I'm no expert but that's a new one on me.

Don't bother with Swapmagic, install a modchip simple as.

I am no expert far from it, but what I can say is after many hours of research and after many problems chipping my slim, my advice is don't buy cheap crap (clones). The Matrix Infinity or DMS4 seems to be the pro's choice with good support and firmware upgrades etc, though they can be a bit pricey. Then possibly a Messiah 2 (very stable) or a Mars Pro HD (recommended to me by blade.cc). Then maybe a Duo 3 Ultra by which have good reviews and support (team omega) and seem relatively cheap.
