I'm new to PS2 modding, and every guide I can find is far too old to be useful. Basically, what I want is a cheap modchip to play backups and emulators from a USB hard drive. I have plenty of experience soldering, but I have no idea which chip to get and where to get it.

It's the original full size PS2, but the friend I'm doing this for didn't give me the model number yet. Can anyone help me?

Thanks!
~Rachel
