oh ya by the way if i have posted this in the wrong place feel free to move to appropriate spot search and only fond one post kinda similar, but couldnt reply to it for some reason. hope this helps

just thought i would drop a few to let every one know that i found a way to get this to work with ulaunch and hdloader.first and obviously you need to rip a iso from your .hack disc and follow any of the tuts for its modification search for vmc fix hdloader and you will find many links to said tutorials. follow instructions and once you have installed the iso on your ps2 drive after recompiling ect ect, and have created a virtual mem card on your mass/usb drive,follow these simple instructions to get past bsod.

(by the way i figured this out since i have seen so many discusions about not being able to get it to work. so i figured i would give it a shot just for the fun of it ... and to get past the cant be done part =) )

after you have done everything and are in hdloader , select .hack infection from list .... this is the fun part... it only works with thumb drives that have access light.....

after you load game and see the first usb access, by the 3-4 short blinks pull your usb card from the ps2... wait about 8 - 20 seconds and the game will load. then you can use with a standard mem card. one of your ps2 memcard ports will be disabled saying that the mem card is not formatted . just put you mem card in the other port and wha-la the game will create a save file . it takes a long time for it to save the first time it saves to card(creating a new save to a never used card, i thought it froze the first time but after 20 - 120 secs it asked whitch save file to save to ),

every time you want to play load in this way and then load game from card works great so far im in second server and having fun.
