Hey folks. A short while ago, I ordered a PAL game, Forbidden Siren 2 for the PS2 in hopes that I could play it on my NTSC, SCPH-79001 playstation 2 slim. Of course, I realized that Swap Magic would be needed, so I went on to a website that sells Swap Magic and was hooked up with Swap Magic Coder v3.8 along with the flip top. Cool. So far, so good.
So here's what happened next.
After attatching the flip top to my console, I pop in swap magic.ap Magic pulls up a screen and select "normal." Then it goes to another screen. Using the flip top, I take out Swap Magic and insert the official Forbbiden Siren 2 (not a burned disc and it also has all the correct indications on the inside. The seller was also well-trusted and had high ratings). Here's where the shit starts to hit the fan. After inserting Forbidden Siren 2, I select "PAL." The disc starts spinning and then I get the red screen of death. I try again. Normal--Defualt--Red Screen. I try once more. Normal--Defualt--NTSC--Red Screen.
Then I try this: Special--PAL. Then I got a black screen, as if the game were still loading or something. Then I turn of the console, reload it. Special--Default--Black Screen. Then, Special--NTSC--Red Screen/Black Screen (it was on and off).
So then I take it to ANOTHER extreme. My friend brings over a copy of Swap Magic v3.6 and the Swap Magic won't even recognize the disc. I need serious help. I've tried looking everywhere and no one has seemed to have this problem yet. I've tried to contact swap magic, but I'm told "could not preform operation because the default mail client has not been properly installed." I need serious help with this and I've tried everywhere.
