Hi there.I tried to softmod my memory card however to no avail.I put the ulaunch and pelican bin on the memory card.The next step is to reboot and accesx the sms option but i dont get this option.Im using the xploder 5 to access my memory card.What am i doing wrong

You need Codebreaker for that sms trick to work
The method was as follows:
1) You need Code Breaker PS2 V7.0 or higher.
2) SMS version of the PELICAN.BIN and uLE
3) You'd put it on your USB Flash Device's root folder.
4) Insert the USB Flash Device into your PS2 and boot Code Breaker PS2.

Codebreak...:(. I only have the Xploder 5. Is there a way i can download the codebreaker by any chance or is there a way i can use my Xploder 5 disc's to get free mcboot onto the memory card

A downloaded Codebreaker won't work

If you have the x-link cable or whatever its called that comes with Xploder 5, then read the last pages in that link above I posted, or ask them there for help.

It will work with the xlink cable I am pretty sure.
