I just got Free McBoot on a memory card. Everything installed.

All games I've tried so far has runned smooth until some part in all games where the picture turns black and stop loading. Mostly after a cut scene.

I use memento and ntsc2pal to patch the ISOs before burning. The burning itself is fine. I use Verbatim 16x.

Can anyone think of anything that can make this happen and what I can do with it?

Ok your using Verbatim 16x which is good, but what speed did you burn the game at?

I used to use the memento patcher too, but now I just always use the esr disc patcher v2.4a because it has the ability too unpatch as well.

Yes depending upon your laser in your PS2 and what Version PS2 you have

The most stable burn is using 4x with imgburn

Many with newer PS2 and newer burners can use 8x or 16x

I personally just use 4x regardless that I have newest burners, and a newer PS2

I would try burning at 4x and see if notice a difference.

If that works for you, then continue to use it with PS2 backups.
