HELP ulaunch elf super n00b

hi i am trying to install ulaunch elf 4.24 i dont have money for anything swap magic codebreaket etc.

i tried thru usb drive and the ps2 just booted up normally. i tried a disk and the ps2 said please insert a ps2 format disk!

i have a fat ps2 model scph 39001

if you were able to put Ulaunch.elf file onto a Cd-r (udf/iso)
Then you could swap it the PS One version, i tried this and it worked for me.
or you could just find someone that has FREEMcBoot on thier MC and just copy those files to your memory card through thier PS2.
