Help with USB Advance GlobalWar Edition Sotware

Hi I need help running USBAdvance GlobalWar Edition, to then play iso's/ROM's from an ecternal usb device. I have downloaded the software and extracted the 'WinRar' file (which was an .ISO file), have downloaded and ran a software called 'ImgBrn v2.5.5.0' and burned the CD-R disc at x24 speed. My Playstation is a slim model, soft modded with a Modbo chip on board and plays both original and back-up discs fine. When I place the disc which should have USBAdvance on it - all that happens is the Playstation 2 - boot-up screen appears, then the Modbo Chip logo screen appears and the screen goes black, the disc will carry on spinning. Also there is an .ELF file within the 'WinRar' file, do I need to burn this on the disc as well? Thanks in advance. Please offer any guidance or help - am a Noobie too! so, sorry in advance for all the questions - cheers.
