how to save new game codes for ARMax?

hi there everybody, i have tried to add some cheat codes for a new games into my ARMax, although when i complete to enter the codes, the sytem has shown it saved the new setting automatically, but actually the new staffs i have entered couldn't be saved at all, i have to enter the cheats again next time when i use ARMax. so i am here to ask you guys how to save the new codes into my ps2 memory card permanently so i dont have to do the same things again everytime when i use ARMax, thank you soo much for your help^_^
