Hi guys I'm new around here but I have a brilliant idea which I thought I might share,
Here Goes:
Through blocking lid sensors you are able to play backed up ps1 games,
My idea is to utilize this by creating a software like media manager(but has to boot through ps1 screen) and to swap - disc boot it and then use that to install FREE mc boot FOR ABSOULUTELY NOTHING, WITHOUT VOIDING WARANTY AND YOU'LL BE ABLE TO PLAY GAMES STRAIGHT FROM THE BROWS THAT WERE PIRATED,

Whoever aids me in this quest will get 99% credit I just want 1%(because its my idea and all)
Ok well Get back to me ASAP

P.S sorry creaky I didn't see ur post if u had read the first line you would have realised that it was my first day so yeah..

If you are talking about the slim, it is not capable of any PS1 exploits.
And on the FAT PS2, a cheat disk etc is still required to install an exploit.

This has all been tried and done before... but if you think its possible then good luck with it.

You can however already install fmcb 1.8 by swapping for a PS2 backup at the correct time with the sensors blocked.

Just check out 'PS2 game swap trick' under the Installation tab here:

strewth.. some people never get it do they? 30 seconds with google tells of the wonders of media checks.. and why burners can't write to that area. It's not that they can't be modified to write there, but that no blanks are made with that sector accessible.. as it contains printed disk-type info already. OK I hear you say.. what about playing with the bitsetting info on dvd+.. which is trickery using that part of the disk? Same problem.. one byte is writable and from investigations the ps2 dvd's contain info across the sector address which is in the other data already printed.

It's very simple but the only way round is to either trick the hardware or the running software involved with the media check to either not look and run anyway, or return OK regardless of the type of disk inserted. 3 methods in reality.. all done.. and all work reasonably well.
