Well, Im new to the PS2 modding scene, and after doing some research it seems the easiest way to softmod a PS2 was with a program on your actual PS2 Memory Card. Most reports say to use GameShark to put files onto the Memory Card, but I was scrounging around and found I had this laying around from when I first got my PS3.
Is it possible to use this to simply put the files onto the PS2 Memory Card, since its basically a PS2 Memory Card to USB?
Also, supposing this method works and the PS2 boots the CFW or Bootloader or whatnot, is playing burnt games(backups) as simple as burning the image to a DVD and popping it into the PS2?

Thanks to the wonderful guy jimmikaelkael from psx-scene, he devolped a driver and program to directly install FMCB onto your memory card with the adapter you mentioned.
