i got a seagate 320gb harddrive with 297gb free. tried to run usb extreme to format it to fat 32. when i do it comes up with this message, the usb hard drive need to do intialise and create a nfts partition with maxium size in the windowsxp disk management first!
i got fcmb installed on it and trying to run the usb harddrive so i can put a few emulators on it. any help will be gladly welcome!

Did you know that is too big of drive for fat 32 and too be detected on usb extreme i am not sure I think the max is 40.

It is too live life too the fullest then never lived at all.

thats funny because on the website http://www.hdadvance.com/hd_advance_compatibility.asp the highest is 500gb

Yes I have even used a 1TB drive with the new Open PS2 loader.

So yes your 320GB is fine to use with USB Extreme

You do need to initialise the disk first and format as NTFS in Windows
Then format it as FAT 32 after

If your using fmcb 1.8, you may be interested in using OPL to launch games from your hdd

Much better compatibility than USBExtreme

Once your drive has been formatted though as FAT32, I would recommend now to use USBUtility v2 to copy games to the drive over USBExtreme
