I just bought Swap Magic 3.6. The CD seems to work 100% fine every single time but for some frickin' reason, the DVD fails to load. I've gotten it to work twice. And that was dumb luck. Seriously, for each time, it involved turning the PS2 and praying. And each time it took over 50 PS2 boots for it to finally load. Yeah. Pretty bad.
Now, the situation is, the PS2 starts loading the Swap Magic 3.6. Then the "PlayStation 2" Logo pops up on the screen, and then I'm greeted by an infinite black screen while my hopes of the disc actually working get crushed. Either that or it pretends to load then just goes to the browser.
I've tried using water to clean the disc and cleaning my PS2 fan and vents with one of those cans of air (I forget what they're called.) I don't really want to open my PS2 to clean my laser without knowing for sure.Mostly because I don't want to wreck my PS2.
My PS2 is a fat model, SCPH-30001 R (Not sure if the R really means anything..)And my PS2 plays all other discs perfectly fine, even the blue ones. I'm starting to think the DVD is just defective but I have no idea.
So basically it's just this:
-Put in Swap Magic 3.6 DVD
-Goes to PlayStation 2 Logo then infinite black screen/goes straight to PS2 browser
-My PS2 is SCPH-30001 R Fat PS2 Model and plays all other PS2 games fine.
