I'm trying to run Growlanser Generations. I know it's a cd game because the files are in BIN/CUE. I burned the BIN onto a dvd, and I'm trying to load it on my PS2 using my Swap Magic 3.8/coder cd disc. When i tried Normal Boot, the screen was black for a while, then went back to the bios, then almost immediately went to the red screen with "Please insert a PS2 disc" or whatever it says. I tried the Special Boot, and it goes straight to black screen and does nothing else.
So, is my cd disc busted, or is there something I did wrong when I burned the game, or is there just something else I'm missing? (oh btw, I tried it with two different dvd discs, and got the same results)
For the record, I tried with my DVD swap magic disc (since i thought hey, maybe since i'm using a dvd, that'll work), and I got a msg saying that the disc isn't a PS2 disc, or something like that.
now this doesn't always work for every CD game. There are a few CD games that require a little more work than that, like changing values using a Hex editor, then rearranging files on the disc.
A couple games I know like that for example are Winback: Covert operations and Harvest Moon: Save The Homeland.
There are a few others also.
