can anyone help please.

i have a slim ps2 pal.
my lens doesnt work but i have mcboot 1.8 on memcard.
I am tryin to see if I can load games from external hardrive/usb device. to bypass the need for a lens. An obviously hdloader supplied with mcboot doesnt work on slim ps2.

So Basically I am trying to get mcboot to load usbadvance. I have tried installing with the usbadvance.elf in the INSTALL folder allong with the other ELF files an this does install the usbadvance.elf onto my ps2 memcard in the BOOT folder, but wen i click on it, it loads the usbadvance main screen then turns red like its suposed to but freezes before loading the main screen.

Anyone got any ideas?
I have loaded the usbadvance.elf using a ps2 emulator on my pc an it loaded fine so i know the usbadvance.ELF file i am using is not dodgy.

Do you just use fmcb 1.8 or do you also have a modchip installed?

What type of USB drive are you using?

Theoretically, if the usbadvance.elf file is in the install folder, then it should work and show up as a selectable option on the main screen. I have never seen an app on freemcboot that never worked before.

Pretty much. He is saying he can launch USBAdvance.elf, just that it freezes.

So he either has a modchip installed that perhaps needs to have 'macrovision turned off'or better yet disable modchip or he has incompatible usb drive.

It is always best too use an External USB drive, not a pen drive.
