When HDLoader fails...

I have a backup of the game Mister Mosquito loaded onto my PS2's HDD. When I tried to play it though HDLoader acted like it wasn't going to load but then suddenly kicked back to the "Select game" screen, but it was all scrambled and frozen.

In situations like these, what things are worth trying? What compatibility options might succeed in fixing this?

Its reported as working with no modes.

What hdloader version are you using?

Do you have problems with any other game.
