hi i want to know how did u get the ps2 game, ratchet and clank up your arsenal to load
wat backup app did u use? Also my Ps2 is completely modified with ulaunch and free Mcboot.

I Have a slim Ps2 (Silver) anyways wat app did u use to load this game please reply.
I also backed up alot of other games that i owned (not pirated) i purchased the games a long time ago they were Battlefield 2 modern combat, Ratchet and Clank going commando,(alot more but to long of a post).

I haven't tested this in long time, but a couple years ago I got it too work with fmcb and swap magic 3.8 elf

I think now it also works with OPL (Open PS2 Loader) V0.8 as well , loading it from USB drive

thanks for reply :) now i have encountered a bigger problem my ps2 broke and now i bought a fresh one,however free mcboot does not work i did some digging and found that i have bios version 2.30 :( i know after reading several forums that u can't run this now due to the dvd update being removed. my question is i have a loading method useing my legit purchased copy of 007 agent under fire. now is there a way i can burn Ulauncher.elf to a blank dvd r
and load it with a modded ps2 (my sensors are all blocked).
Also is there a way to change the Bios on my Ps2 to a bios that mcboot can use?
P.S is there any way i can load ulauncherelf through a blank dvd r with just sesors blocked thank u and my model data info is below

If you are able to do the 'PS2 Swap trick' using 007 AUF, then you should be able to launch uLe , if you change the DRIVING.ELF with uLaunch.elf

Once you have uLe loaded, you could even launch Open PS2 Loader and play games off USB drive or your PC over a Network.

I did the Armax/w media player exploit on the V18 90001 PS2, and launched other elf files using uLe

You can also use Swap Magic on this model PS2

There isn't any way to change the BIOS on the PS2 that I know of.

Nope, sorry there isn't any way for the PS2 to read a burned disc, even with sensors blocked.

You first need an exploit or a Retail copy of Swap Magic.

Great news i manged to purchase a 8c black ps2 nd Free Mcboot works :P. Thank you smokeyrain. Now about rachet and clank 3 how would i play it and weird it loads up codebreaker normaly doesn't freeze with usb stick in it even reconizes it?

Cool. Glad you got a PS2 that works with Free Mcboot

You can try using the esr r9b, but I think it had issues with esr.

I just used the SM 3.8 ELF file. Just make sure to have an Original PS2 disc to swap with

I configured my SM 3.8 ELF to L2 on the fmcb configuration menu.

Then put Original Disc in, and hold L2 to launch SM 3.8 elf, then with sensors blocked, swap the disc.

I have a question can Esr load swapmagic backup? Like i said i have the disc but it broke also. Does ESR work with every game? is there a action reply.elf?

ESR can load Swap Magic 3.8, the trick though for backup of Swap Magic too work with fmcb is too have an Original Disc in the PS2 as you load the Swap Magic ELF

Cogswap may work as well.

There is no Action Replay elf, only Codebreaker ELF files.

You can read Post #4 and on a bit too see how I use SM 3.8 ELF file. You can also find the link to SM 3.8 elf.

Will they make an update that can atleast launch Ratchet and clank 3 with ESR and ESR update? ESR 9c beta? I have the retail Ratchet and clank 3 Retail but i'm trying to find a way to get the scrtahes off left from my old ps2.

ratchet and clank 3 seems to load the menus and ship and planet and all goes normal till the user presses either the pause or sellect button ( it freezes) ESR 9a- ESR 9r

This link is here - Swap Magic 3.8 elf


You need to have your sensors blocked, so you can Swap Discs. The Program itself does stop the Disc.
