is sony DVD+R ver 1.3 / 1x-16x & Mitsubishi DVD+R 1-16x a good media for backup ???

the $ony should be ok.. the mitsubishi probably not, depends who makes them..

I think you will be better with -r disks, 8x if you can find them.

my mitsubishi sometimes can be read with my ps2 slim , sometimes don't ...
while Sony dvd+R doesn't have problem to read in my ps2 slim ...
I guest sony dvd+R media is better than mitsubishi

Mitsubishi, Taiyo Yuden and Ricoh all have made discs for Sony. Mitsubishi also owns Verbatim. Download DVD Identifier (free software) to read the manufacturer code on DVD. Most manufacturers outsource making blank media so you never really know if the discs you bought last month is the same this month. I have used a couple thousand Verbatim 16X +R made by Mitsubishi with only a few coasters. Some are over 10 years old and still works fine.

i also have a couple verbatim dvd+R for backups & it work great on my PS2 slim like sony dvd+R
