Booting PS1 backups with Memento

Is it possible to play PS1 backups on a slim PS2 using Memento + memor32?

Everytime I try to patch a PS1 ISO with the "Memento Disc Patcher" I get an error message, but the patcher works fine with PS2 games.

The short answer to your question is 'no'. PSX backups are not compatible with memento/ESR
