can anyone please help me. ive heard of all these ways to use a mod chip, swap magic, and time swap to play burned psx/ps2 games on ps2. well i dont really have the money for a mod chip or swap magic. ive tried time swap to get em to work but it wont work. i wait for the sony playstation logo to show up for psx and the same with ps2 logo before i switch.

point im getting at is, is there any way at all to burn these games to cd/dvd and not have to use any mod chip, swap magic, or time swap? if anyone can help me that would be much appreciated. Thanks

simple answer.. no .. media checks defeat copies

fyi .. swapmagic doesn't work for psx games.. for that you need a proper old psx boot disk.. people use action replay... if you can find one.. they are scarce now.

why your "timed swap" isn't working is simple.. you need a disk with a large TOC .. same size or larger than the one you are trying to swap to.. I found creatures-raised in space worked for around 70% of games.. but some of the later psx games had a different media check system.. actually coded in the game data as well.. look around and you will find which ones.. they needed patching before being burned.

not many people remember the psx mods and tricks these days.. it's probably easier to play them on a pc using an emulator.
