For the past 3 days I've been trying to get my head round things, so far I've managed to get a copy of Free MCBoot on my PS2, that 'seems' to be working fine...
Now I'm not 100% sure if the next bit is classed as 'piracy' on your forum, basically I have a game, but due to age it only plays up until the 3rd level (space invaiders) so, I think I'm well within my rights to download a copy a burn it... So I headed over to a site i use (not sure if links are allowed so i'll not post) downloaded a copy, then had to work out the whole ECM issue but just managed to sort that...
Now my new issue is that when I try to patch the game using ESR i get a 'No UDF Descriptor' pop up...
I've downloaded another game just to test this, and also get the same msg.
Any help would really be appritaited, I'm using this site as its helped solve some of the past issues I've had.

I've done a little more reading up on it and feel quite stupid now, I didn't know PS1 disc's didnt need to be patched :/ my n00b-ness knows no bounds...
I am now having a diffrent issue but shall post in another thread as it isn't connected to the ESR program
