So here I am, two+ hours and five DVDs in on attempting this CD to DVD conversion to play Half-Life (PAL) on my PS2 via Swap Magic 3.6.
The method I've been using is the typical one, where you extract the game data (ISOBuster, copy folders and files in order) scan all of the items with Scanlite 3.7 (making sure DVD is ticked) and finally burn to a DVD. I've tried it with a dummy file to fatten it up, but that didn't help a thing either. In swap magic, I've tried both normal and special booting, but I'm not even sure what the difference is-- point being neither booted it properly.
I've tried running it using the CD of Swap Magic, but that only gets me to the title screen. Anything after that's one of those frozen indefinite loading screens, so I figured I might have luck doing one of those conversion to DVD tricks.
So as you can see, it just doesn't work. I've tried the same method with Okage: Shadow King (NTSC), but alas that didn't work either, so unless both of them are generally regarded as non-workers for this CD-to-DVD conversion thing, I don't know what the problem even is. I'm using Memorex 16x DVD+Rs on a LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-16332 DVD drive. Canadian nod of appreciation and brofist for anyone who can solve this pickle.
Also, I should note that I'm running on fumes here, so if I haven't described something properly or whatever, just let me know what you're having problems with.
