Im trying to make ps1 backups work on my scph7001 playstation, the backups load but
they skip and lag horribly. I burn at 2x using ImgBurn and I am using taiyo yuden cd-r.
I ripped the iso from my bof4 disc using clonecd. The backups play flawlessly on my
phat ps2 so I really don't understand why they won't work properly on my ps1.

well.. us old timers always used alcohol120% .. in playstation compatibility mode.. I did write a stack of guides years back, but I had them taken down because they really were only relevant to emulator users. it may be that the laser in your antique is pretty weak by now.. I know mine are all so clapped out they even struggle with original disks.

I have also used alcohol 120% to burn ps1 games but it doesn't make a difference they still skip on my ps1. It might be that my playstation's laser is too worn out to play any backups correctly.
