Need help with burning PS1 games to a CD

I'm not sure if this belongs here, but since the PS2 has backwards compatibility and I use a PS2, I thought I should post it.


I just ordered Breaker Pro which I expect to arrive in about a week or so, and I need to know how to burn PSX games to a CD-R (I'm using Verbatim). I know how to do PS2 games, but not PSX since I don't know if you just need the ISO, or if you also need to create a .ccd, .bin, .cue, or whatever. How many of these files do I need and which one ultimately needs to be burned? And how do I go about creating them? I used the Search function but I'm still kinda confused.

The brand of your cds, is one among the best ones.
The procedure for burn psx games, is the same as for the ps2.
If you use Alcohol 120%, "ultra iso" or others, they support all files, so just check if the option "all files" is chosen.

Note that the recommended speed for PS2 is 4x, and for psx is 2x or less.
Usually psx backups work at 4x speed, but if someone doesn´t, you must record it at lower speed, good choice is clone cd, which allows to do 1X burning speed.
