Hi there, i have a slim ps2 silver SCPH-70003 sss. I can't seem to get the swap magid 3.6 cd to get to the load screen.
The dvd one works fine, It's just the cd one, it spins slowly then comes to a halt. I'm trying to install USB advance. Has anyone else come across this problem?? Any sort of help will be appreciated. Thanks
your ps2 laser is sorta dying. do you have the top closed? in my experience, i use fliptop and notice for some reason, cds are read better if its closed, even though it may seem that it wouldn't matter.

Are these new Swap Magic Discs?
Some PS2 do read DVD better than CD, but it could also be the Swap Magic CD disc is faulty.
You could try cleaning your laser to see if that makes a difference.
You can also load USBAdvance.elf using the Swap Magic DVD.
Create a Folder on your USB drive, name it 'SWAPMAGIC'
Place the USBAdvance.elf inside your new folder and rename the elf file to 'SWAPMAGIC.ELF'
Then just have your USB drive connected to PS2, start up your Swap Magic DVD and it should load the USBAdvance.elf
You can have your games installed on the same drive.
Thanks, I managed to get it to work by booting elf file from hd. Im still frustrated with the cd not working. I've tried three different discs mine and my friends. I can't be bothered with it anymore.
