Why won't PS-X-Change Ver 2 work with my PS2?

It just won't work, at all. It won't read. I couldn't find Breaker Pro anywhere so I had to settle for this, but it appears to not work on a PS2 whatsoever. Will I need an actual PS1 to get it to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I even tried turning on Diagnosis Mode and putting on the Fast disc speed, but to no avail.

Yes, psx-change2 only works on ps1 consoles.
What version ps2 do you have or what is the scph # on the back of the ps2?
