Need Help With Softmodding My Xbox

Hello guys,

I'm desperate looking for help because of my following problem:

I've searched loads of tutorials on how to softmod your xbox but unfortunatly couldn't find one regarding my problem. Which is that my xbox was softmodded and worked fine, untill I got the 09 error. I think my harddisk died? Is there a way to softmod my xbox? My xbox isn't working now because of the error and I currently do not have any official games.

I do have a new hard disk but don't know how to softmod it, or how to restore or backup my current broken hard disk. I've tried the hotswapping method using the linux iso but doing so gives me errors. I do not have a modchip, but hoping to could solve this problem? Unfortunatly I do not have a backup of my broken harddisk.
