I have upgraded to a 120gb hitachi harddrive, copied entire /c and /e, made a few bootup discs, locked my new harddrive with the correct eeprom, but whenever I plug it in and bootup the xbox it just goes to the original logo screen without giving me an error message. I had previously encountered a problem with copying over my /c and when I plugged everything in the xbox at least did me the honor of an error screen. I am really not sure what is wrong. I've rechecked everything multiple times and formatted it a few times and reinstalled all with the same problem.
