Hello all, i have two xbox's that have Hardrives in them that i would like to use for my PC but the Motherboards seem to be fried and i have tried to boot the consoles and nothing happenes, one is an 80 gig Saegate barracuda and the other is a 200 gig Western Digital both ide, is there any hope or software that i can use with my pc to unlock and reformatt these drives, i have tried searching google and even on here but to no avail, maybe someone can point me in the right direction, please any help is greatly appreciated.

If you used xboxhdm to make your hard drives then the master password is "XBOXSCENE"

If that doesn't work then you need to build an eeprom reader and read the eeprom from the board that is paired with that hard drive. Then you need to make an xboxhdm cd and unlock the drive then you can wipe the fat x partition and use it in a computer.

i am not really good at soldering so i was wondering if this would do the job for me seems like it would but it would be nice to get a second opinion thank you for any help

here you go .. the device is very basic but the software versions are rather critical.
