Hello All! I'm new to AfterDawn and decided to join after seeing all the XBOX posts. But I do have a question.

First, I have an XBOX here that the hard drive has died. This is apparent from the constant bang noise it makes. Second, I have tons of spare hard drives pulled from old computers ranging in sizes from 8 GB all the way up to 500 GB. The XBOX itself has never been modded. I do have a few Seagate 8 GB hard drives identical to those found in most XBOX consoles (with the soft-rubber shock absorbing exterior).

Here's my question: Is it possible to use Slayer's Evox to get any of these PC-based hard drives to work without a modchip?

I'm trying to avoid shelling out money I don't have on a replacement XBOX hard drive when I know what I have might work. Any help that can be offered would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
