I was wondering if anyone knew a dvd player for the elderly or a dvd player with simple layout? I wanted to buy a dvd player for my grandma, but i couldnt find anything she could understand.
I hope someone has experiences or other solutions for easy use of a dvd player, please let me know.

(sorry for my english, its not my native langue)

I am not sure what you're looking for...most likely all players have the same functions. What it could be useful would be if the discs were authored with "the elderly" in mind, for example to start playing as soon as you insert the disc, and not have to go through a series of menus and preview junk.

you would be better looking for a large button programmable remote.. I think being able to set it up in a 2 or 3 buttons at most way would be a great help.

Before you go ahead and buy something, read some reviews around the net. Some remotes might not be able to work with certain equipment. For example:
