35MM to VHS to DVD~how to make copies

I took 35mm transferred to VHS and put that on DVD(old home movies) I thought it would be no problem to burn copies with Nero & shrink. Evidently I am incorrect. None of the 6 dvd -R will copy. DVD shrink gives me an error, that it is the wrong format, can't handle that type....something like that. Is there another way to do this? thank you

What was the exact error message from DVD Shrink (a screen cap would be good).
What files are in the VIDEO_TS folder.

Generally, if the folder contains IFO BUP and VOB files and are DVD compliant, it shouldn't complain.

You can also run the files through FixVTS before opening them in DVD Shrink.
